The short version: Callback has no accounts, no analytics trackers, and no server of ours that stores your information. Your profile, resume, and applications live on your device. We don't collect your data.
Callback ("the app," "we") is an iOS application that helps students and early-career job seekers discover internships and jobs, prepare applications, and track their progress. For any privacy question, contact us at ianroyes@gmail.com.
Everything you enter into Callback stays on your device, saved in the app's private storage:
None of this is transmitted to us. We have no ability to access it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you enable "Jobs Near You," the app requests a one-time location fix from iOS to determine your general area (city and state). This is used only on your device to rank nearby listings, is stored only in your local profile, and is never sent to us or to any third party. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
To show you live job listings, the app fetches data directly from third-party services. As with any internet request, those services receive your IP address and standard request metadata when the app contacts them:
Your profile contents, resume, and application history are never included in these requests.
Subscriptions (Callback Pro Monthly and the Semester Pass) are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase information is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Follow-up reminders and the optional daily Fresh Drops nudge are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification server is involved.
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites. We may review the aggregated, anonymized statistics Apple provides to all developers through App Store Connect (such as total download counts), which contain no personal information.
Callback is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we ever change how the app handles data — for example, by adding optional accounts or sync — we will update this policy and note the change in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
